ALLERGIES
We have pupils in school who are allergic to nuts, strawberries and raspberries so can I ask that you DO NOT send in any snacks or packed lunches (including day trips) with your children that contain these fruits/nuts as a precaution please.
SPORTS DAY
Sports Day will be held on Friday 29th May and parents are invited to come along and cheer on our children from 1.15pm onward down at Cairney School.
If you wish to take your child home after Sport’s Day instead of coming back to school in the Bus, please let the office know.
Please note that school lunch options that day are hot dog in a bun or vegetarian sausage in a bun. Please discuss the options with your child/children before Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: NO NUTS / STRAWBERRIES / RASPBERRIES TO BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL THAT DAY.
TRANSITION WEEK
Our P7 will transition for a few days to The Gordon Schools week commencing Monday 22nd June.
SWIMMING
We had our first session of Swimming yesterday which will continue for the next 5 weeks - Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th June.
Please can all children remember to pack a swimming bag containing costume/shorts, towel, and goggles.
Can parents also ensure their children can fold and pack school uniforms into bags. This makes sure clothes are kept safe and dry.
BIKEABILITYP4-7
We have been working with all the P4-7 children on their Bike Ability Levels 1 & 2, which is run by Cycling Scotland with trained instructors who have volunteered to come in to school.
A separate note has been sent to parents with dates and information.
PRIZEGIVING
Prizegiving will take place on Tuesday 23rd June at 2pm. We look forward to seeing you all there.

We are having our Wet Outdoor Play afternoon again this year here at Glass on Wednesday 1st July where Cairney School will be joining us. Please can you make sure you send in a change of clothes, towel and hairbrush in a waterproof bag with the children that day so that we don’t have any soggy bottoms.
Please note that school lunch options that day are hot dog in a bun or vegetarian sausage in a bun. Please discuss the options with your child/children before 1st July.
